I’ve been creating a lot of rooms on Polyvore lately. It’s a bit addicting. Like creating a room or a wedding on Pinterest.
Anyway, this room (or vignette) features a writing desk and writer’s tools – a typewriter and coffee. And an adorable T-Rex desk organizer. Can’t forget that. :)
I chose the modern walnut desk and chair to reflect the color of the bunny in the Rabbit Ears poster. Because all of us writers are constantly searching for a place with the perfect reception from our writing gods. Or daemons.
The rest of the posters are of a typology or logophile nature. Throw in a few more fun accents and there you have it.

My latest Polyvore venture is called “Miami Beach & Home,” a name inspired by the Miami Beach poster hanging next to the window with the ocean view and the sculptures on the coffee table.
I picked a sofa to match the colors in the poster and then played around with fun pillows and accents in a variety of colors that seemed somewhat tropical and modern to me.
It’s purposely eclectic. Supposed to be fun.

This one is named “Olive Ewe” in honor of the adorable pillow.
It’s one of my pillows from Zazzle and I just love it so much, I had to build a room around it. :)

At first glance I saw a sleek and stylish dress that would be perfect for wearing to work or a nice dinner.
On second glance… flamingos???
Yes. Flamingos.
And the Floridian in me went, “SA-weeeeeeeeeeeeeet!”
I mean, come on: an upscale dress with such a fun design? I’m all about that. Plus, growing up in Florida has left me with a strange affinity for pink, plastic flamingos. I think they’re amusingly charming.
So these flamingos rock even harder.
